Beer Review: Christmas Steps from Butcombe

Happy New Year from the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. The first beer review of the new year is Christmas Step from Butcombe.

Even our best real ale local's landlord shops the Xmas sales. The Xmas beers only came out after New Year! Starting with Christmas Steps from Butcombe. *snort* BUT-Combe.

Dark coffee and vanilla with a wee bit of bitter almond. Not so much a pint quaffing beer than a sit by the fireside and sip while playing scrabble kind of beer. As you know sweet beers are not my thing.

Objectively speaking though this was a good solid winter warmer. Not too sure about that Santa on the pump clip there. He looks like he is totally up to no good. In a come-here-little-girl-and-have-a-lovely-craft-beer pedo sort of way.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK!
