Craft Beer Review: Amazonian from MileStone Brewing Co.

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's craft beer review is for Amazonian from Milestone.

It was not the most spectacular weekend for beer. I was down with a horrible cold and couldn't get to our regular Friday night local who had several new beers on I wanted to try. Including a new Mr. Majolica!

Our Saturday local was playing it safe with some of the usual suspects: Cottage, Cotleigh, Whycwood, and Milestone. And these were all a bit samey. Gold (of varying degrees), inoffensive, fairly sweet, and mildly fruity.

Let's start with Amazonian from MileStone Brewing Company. This is probably the least usual of the usual suspects. We don't see Milestone THAT often and I've not had Amazonian before.

It was dark gold and fairly sweet up front with a short bitter finish. Tangy and fruity but not huge on the flavour front. Lacked the complexity I prefer. It was a decent refreshing pint but nothing to write home about as they say.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
