Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's craft beer review is for Once Bittern from Woodforde's.

See what they did there? Ahh yes. I just can't resist a pun. Once Bittern is a light gold astringent bitter. It was not to my taste but it can be considered a good beer. The flavour is predominantly butterscotch, of all things, with aniseed.

Those are two of my least favourite flavours and it had them in abundance. But if those were your two favourite flavours you would love this one.

Not the least bit citrus. For me it was an odd taste but that doesn't make it bad. Not like the Mr. Majolica I had last week that didn't know what it was doing. There is a definite palate here and you either like it or you don't. That is craft beer for ya!

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
