Craft Beer Review: The Baldy from Brentwood Brewing Company

Another week, another five craft beers/real ales reviewed! Culminating on Friday with BEER. OF THE. WEEK. Follow me to find out what it is!

Today we have a beer that has been on at my local for, literally, years and I never tried it until last weekend! I wasn't sure if I should review it because the chances of it ever being on at your local are, also literally, nonexistent!

This is because the Brentwood Brewing Company makes this beer especially for our local: The eponymous Theobald Arms. Although some regulars suspect that The Baldy actually refers to the landlord.

It is a very mild mild if you know what I mean. A sort of old fashioned ale. Very little body or distinct flavour profile. If you are familiar with the now retiring Robinsons mild you will know what I mean.

So after years of seeing it I haven't missed out on much.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
