Craft Beer Review: Thunderbolt from Cottage Brewing

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and you are reading The Beer in Review. Today's craft beer review is for Thunderbolt from Cottage Brewing Company.

Today we have Thunderbolt from old favourite Cottage Brewery. If you scroll back a bit on my profile you will see that the last beer they had on at our local (Aphrodite) I did not like at all. Looks like they are back on form with this one.

Thunderbolt is a lightly hoppy dark yellow ale. Quite dry to the point of being astringent with some interesting herby flavours of dill, tarragon, sour apples, and rose hips. It is more malty than hoppy.

A very pleasing beer indeed.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
