Beer of the Week! Beer Review: Peddler's Best from Millis

A beer as good as Peddler's Best doesn't need a pump clip!

That's right hop heads! It's Friday and that means it's time for BEER. OF THE. WEEK!

This is one of those rare times when you take just one taste of your pint and little lights and sparks go off in your brain and you just kind of sink into a gorgeous stupor of absolutely perfect flavours. Beautiful.

This is, and I don't use this word often in describing a beer, a BEAUTIFUL beer.

It is one of those rare ales that has absolutely no sweet in it. And yet is aromatic and lusciously complex with flavours of soft fruits and apples. It was strawberry and peaches, mint and lemon verbena. Like a breath of summer in an orchard.

This is a contender for Beer. OF THE. YEAR. The only other one this year that is on the short list so far is Bitter Winter from Caledonian.

I have had some trouble (got bored after three minutes of Google) finding any reliable information on the Millis Brewing Company. Their website shows an update of 2015 but they do not list this beer. It is mentioned in a few other places so it definitely exists but there seems to be some confusion over whether Millis still exists or it is now operates under the name of Wobbler Brewery.

I don't really care as long as they continue to deliver barrels of this nectar to our local.
