Beer Review: Runner from Truman's

Welcome to Hancock's House of Happy! I review craft beers. Follow to see what's on tap in the UK and come back on Friday when I will reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK.

Share It!

Except this week since, it was a dismal week for beer. But here is a dramatic pump clip for a non-descript beer I had in the charming St. Georges tavern at Victoria station. I have had other Truman's beers I really liked but this one just wasn't doing it for me.

Bear in mind that sometimes a beer suffers from poor handling. Having never been to the St. Georges before I couldn't say if this were the case.

What I find funny about some pump clips is that how a brewery describes their beer on them isn't... how... the beer... actually... is...

Apart from the fact that I didn't really like it one way or t'other, it was neither dark nor deep.

If you aren't sure of a beer don't trust the clip and ask for a taste. A good real ale pub will usually let you try it before you commit to a whole pint. They know they are going to sell you a pint of something and they want to make sure it is something you will want another pint of.

However... It is considered POOR etiquette to do this when a pub is crazy busy on the day before a Friday bank holiday. And so it was in this case and I just had to takes my chances.

Look at yesterday's post if you want to know more about the St. Georges. A cracking pub in London.

I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. I post craft beer reviews usually five days a week and be sure to check in on Fridays when I reveal the BEER. OF THE. WEEK.

I also make things out of clay and paper. Check them out at Hancock's House of Happy
