Beer of the Week Beer Review: Boing! From Mr. Majolica

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. And today is Friday which means it is time to reveal Beer of the Week: Boing! from Mr. Majolica.

Share It!

Yes indeedeedo. It is Friday and time to reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK. Which is Boing! from Mr. Majolica.

This was a dark gold bitter ale that had a very subtle and refreshing profile. It was lightly fruity with peach and pear and had a sweetness that was offset very well by hints of green tea and tobacco. It is as good as its word and is very much a beer with loads of Springtime character.

A really well balanced beer compared to the last one I had from them which was the mixed up failed experiment Chuckaboo.

Much like I wrote about the Hope Brewing Co. last week, Mr. Majolica's is also a local microbrew success story. Basically some dood who liked making beer decided to start selling his beer to the pubs where he was drinking. And his pump clips have always been black and white with the big mustache.

Mr. Majolica himself is a bit mysterious. He doesn't seem to exist on social media anywhere. I don't think I have ever seen anyone with such a wonderous mustache in town. He's like the BatMan of Essex craft beer.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK!
