Beer of the Week Craft Beer Review: Zenith IPA from Cross Bay Brewery.

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star in absentia and this is The Beer in Review. Today's craft beer review is for Zenith IPA from Cross Bay Brewery.

Share It!

Zenith IPA was a bitter-sweet gold beer. Floral and yet tart. But more like rose hips or cranberry tart than citrus. It had a smokey almost savoury nose in which I swear I caught a faint whiff of garlic. But that could be more to do with the fact that we were sat outside the kitchen of the pub in the beer garden. It was curry night.

I would just like to say here that people need to sort out this IPA thing. I have had so many IPAs that are so different to each other they can't all possibly be classed as the same kind of beer. Gold is certainly not a colour for an IPA. Which should be more light brown or orange.

But I am not going to quibble. This was a good ale for curry night in the beer garden!

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
