Craft Beer Review: English Oak from Mighty Oak Brewing Company

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and you are reading The Beer in Review. Today's craft beer review is English Oak from Mighty Oak Brewery.

English Oak is a light amber bitter that is caramel and malty predominantly and with a backing of orange zest and resinous herbs like rosemary. A very pleasant beer with a definite but not overwhelming profile.

Just going over recent records and it would appear that there hasn't been a Mighty Oak on for at least two weeks! That must be some sort of record at our local.

What is even more surprising is that since records began (about 18 months ago) it would appear that I have never had this Mighty Oak regular. This is one of their standard beers they brew all of the time.

The three standard beers we see from them all the time (and there are four or five they do all together) are Kings, Maldon Gold, and Captain Bob. All very good beers. Kings is one of my favourite beers ever. I also really like Captain Bob which is a session ale.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK!
