Beer of the Week Craft Beer Review: Blonde from Dukeries (Dukeries Blonde)

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's beer of the week craft beer review is for Blonde from Dukeries. Or perhaps better to say Dukeries Blonde.

Share It!

First of all let me say Well Done to Dukeries for realising that a sexy half naked blonde woman on the pump clip was not going to make me more likely to try their beer. Never had a Dukeries beer before. Hope to see them again.

Now it was another fairly epically mediocre weekend for beer. I had to have a BOTTLE review for one thing. But there were decent ones and a couple of good ones. Dukeries Blonde was the best of the bunch.

It was indeed a blonde (light yellow) beer with equally light fresh flavors. A big splash of  melon and fresh orange citrus with a well balanced bitter of lemon zest. Slightly astringent flavours of lemon verbena and green tea with a bit of metallic tang.

This is a great summer session beer for an afternoon in the beer garden. Great for anything BBQ'ed and also a light creamy fish dish.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
