Beer of the Week Craft Beer Review: Evolution from Mr. Majolica's Brewing Co.

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Beer of the Week craft beer review is for Evolution from Mr. Majolica's Brewing Co.

Yes indeed hop heads! It's Friday and that means it's time for BEER. OF THE. WEEK! And the beer this week is Evolution from Mr. Majolica's Brewing Co. The Batman of Essex beers has taken the title AGAIN!

Evolution was a beautiful beer. It was a gorgeous cloudy amber just a bit darker than what I would call a true IPA colour. And so many flavours. A lot of fresh summer fruits in there like strawberry and cherry and also fresh softer herbs like mint. A bit of floral sweetness from rose and lavender. It had a tangy astringent bitterness that seems to be a theme in Mr. M's beers. It's like a tobacco/geranium that hits the top of your palate and ties everything together.

After a week of epic mediocrity this beer came on last thing on Sunday after I opted for my first beer to be a bottle of Old Speckled Hen, (this is indeed how dire the situation was not that there is anything wrong with OSH in a pinch) and it just blew me away.

Love Mr. Majolica. Love that he makes amazing beer in my town. Do you have an amazing brewer in your town? Tell us about them!

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
