Belgian Beer Review: Hoegaarden Blanche

Welcome to Boulogne-sur-Mer. I am even-star and this is the French edition of The Beer in Review. Today's beer review is for Hoegaarden Blanche.

The second beer review from our little Normandy adventure is for this white wheat beer from Hoegaarden. Hoegaarden is a Belgian beer and it was very popular in Boulogne-sur-Mer in several incarnations.

Blanche was quite interesting. It's like the Corona of European beer. It was very light, almost white, cloudy and faintly citrus with the usual clovey taste that so many French and Belgian beers have. And it is served with a slice of lemon in it!

I can tell you it was deliciously thirst quenching after crossing delays and wandering around the town.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
