Indian Beer Review: Lal Toofan Premium Lager

Good Monday hop heads! I hope you had a lovely weekend. It was a so-so weekend for beer for me.

Starting off the week's beer reviews we have Lal Toofan. This is an Indian beer now brewed in the UK. From rice apparently.

We went out for Indian food with my sortofinlaws and this was the draft beer available. It was very pleasant in fact. Light, not too fizzy, dry, and with a pleasant citrus zing. Not unlike the Hoegaarden Blanche I had in France the other week but without the actual lemon.

It went very well with the Ceylon chicken.

I always lament the fact that craft beers are not to be had at most restaurants in the area. I probably would have preferred something blonde and hoppy but this was a fair substitute

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
