Midweek Special Real Ale Beer Review: 16 Hours of Sunlight from Brains (Again!)

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is not a glitch in the matrix. It is The Beer in Review. Today's real ale beer re-review is for 16 Hours of Sunlight from Brains.

Ok so explanation. I reviewed this beer last week. It was not good. But apparently the beer I reviewed was not the beer that everyone thought they were drinking. We aren't sure what beer that was but the landlord complained to the supplier that the beer was terrible and not at all like what they said it would be. Namely a crisp refreshing summer saison beer.

They sent him a new barrel.

This was definitely a different beer. And a much better one! It was a medium gold bitter. Lots of citrus. Hoppy and with that woody herbal-ness like thyme.

So, yeah in the interest of fairness it was only right to give the right review the right beer. Plus it kind of highlights the fact that when you drink off pump or tap you are trusting to the bar staff to have hooked up the right cask to the right hose. Who knows how many other beer reviews on here are for the wrong beer!

Crazy fun times kids. Crazy fun times.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
