Craft Beer Review: Lance Golden Ale from Keltek Cornish Brewery

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's craft beer review is for Lance from Keltek.

Share It!

Lance was indeed a  golden ale. It had light head and a pronounced green bitterness and almost something like a resinous oiliness to it. Which sounds unpleasant but wasn't at all. It was floral on the back palate with a light lemon zestyness. A very interesting beer.

It was good to see Keltek on again after their brief appearance at the beer festival in June. There wasn't a clip on for them then which meant I didn't get to see their branding. I hadn't realised they were Cornish. Perhaps an up-and-comer in Cornish craft beer to take all our minds of the scandalous St. Austel scandel.

It seems a good bet that Keltek is going to be made with Cornish water. Which probably comes from Devon anyways!?

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
