Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Hertfordshire craft beer review is for Ravensdell from Tring Brewery.

And we have ANOTHER familiar face that has been recently absent from the local guest pumps. Tring is continuing with this year's theme of local woodlands for their monthly specials. I have only seen a couple though including this one: Ravensdell. Which is a woodland just north a bit of Tring in Bedfordshire.

This beer was a dark amber with a malty rich flavour profile of butterscotch, vanilla and liquorice. Sweet up front with a fruity bitter of orange peel and a fresh touch of asparagus. A very pleasant beer indeed and typical of Tring beers. Very well balanced and interesting flavours that are blended and mellow.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
