American Beer Review: India Pale Ale from Goose Island

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's American beer review is for the India Pale Ale from Goose Island Beer Company.

Goose Island IPA has been on the To Drink list for a while and I was so chuffed to find it on tap just three stops down the train line from my town. That is like 15 minutes. It takes longer to walk to our Friday night local.

And I was not disappointed. It was a faintly cloudy gold with some of those IPA green tea tannins but not too much. Definitely hoppy but not characteristicly American like you get with Sam Adams Brooklyn. More like fresh apples. I would dare to declare it was much more English. Perhaps appropriate for an IPA? Very citrus, served very cold, and very good.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
