Dorset Real Ale Beer Review: First Call from Badger Beers (Hall & Woodhouse)

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's real ale beer review is for First Call from Badger Beers (Hall and Woodhouse).

Share It!

Hall and Woodhouse are a big British brewer. I have been drinking bottled Badger beers for years. But never saw them on tap. UNTIL I found myself at The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Playhouse Theatre on the Embankment.

We were early for the show and decided to wait at a pub we passed round the corner on the way from Covent Garden. It was the Ship and Shovel and a very cosy little place it was too.

I actually had a bottle of First Call a few weeks ago now. A new Badger beer. On tap it was a pleasant amber malty bitter with creamy vanilla and cantaloupe flavours and a subtle minty freshness.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
