Essex Craft Beer Review: Royal Blue from Saffron Brewery

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Essex craft beer review is for Royal Blue from Saffron Brewery.

Well, never seen these guys before but I love their branding. Big chickens. Cuz the brewery is in Henham maybe? Get it? See what they did there? I am calling them an Essex brewery even though they say they are on the border on Essex and Hertfordshire there aint no escape from that Chelmsford postal code.

Royal Blue was a light amber nutty bitter. It had a green freshness, faint caramel sweetness, and a bit of savoryness as well, The malt was toasty and there was some tart fruits in there like apples and rose hips.
