Wiltshire Craft Beer Review: Dark Delight from Downton Brewery (Chimera Real Ales)

Welcome to the Shed. If I had ever seen an episode of Downton Abbey there would be a clever remark here. As it is, I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Wiltshire craft beer review is for Dark Delight from Downton Brewery (Chimera Real Ales).

I think this must be the first Wiltshire craft beer review I have ever done. What up with dat Wiltshire? Where's all the beer?!

Dark Delight was, as one might expect, a dark brown bitter. It was hoppy with some malt in there to make it medium sweet but had a good bite. Fruity like mince pie filling. Sweet but with the bite of peel. Not rich nor astringent. A bit smokey. A good tasty pint!

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
