It would have been remiss of me to leave Scotland without having at least one beer made with oats. This Bourbon Milk Stout from Sonnet 43 was a really meaty black stout. Sweet coffee and chocolate served a bit warm. Smooth rather than astringent. Milky in fact. Brown sugar and milk chocolate. Like a cafe mocha.

The Beer in Review is a blog about beer. Mostly British beer because that is where I live. I post a review every week day. Make sure you check in on Friday which is when I reveal BEER. OF THE. WEEK! You can contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook.
