Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Essex craft beer review is for Silver Surfer from Mighty Oak.

Well hop heads, I have just got home after travelling ten miles in the same amount of time it usually took me to travel 200 miles to visit the Bear. In short I will be brief.

Silver Surfer was a clear pale yellow bitter that basically tasted of all the delicious lemon flavoured things you have ever eaten. Beautiful: lemon drop, lemon tart, lemon meringue pie, lemon fizzers, lemon sherbet, lemonade, lemon cookies... Lemon all the things and then give them a beer twist.

Fan-fucking-tastic Mighty Oak. Your beer Silver Surfer is hereby awarded the official Snail of Approval.

The Beer in Review is a blog about British craft beer and real ale. Keep up with new posts and contact me comments and questions on twitter or facebook. I'd love to hear about your craft beer adventures and recommendations from your home town.
