Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Northern Irish craft beer review is for Maggies Leap name from Whitewater Brewery.

So we had a little adventure in Northern Ireland the other week and stayed in Belfast. Maggies Leap was the first beer of that weekend and it was the ONLY beer all weekend that was PULLED! The rest was all tap or bottle. They do not pull pints in Northern Ireland!

Maggies Leap was a pale copper bitter. Hoppy, citrus, woody thyme, and fresh sweetness. Very aromatic and light chrysanthemum floral.

Now even though they do not pull their pints in Belfast they are very supportive of Northern Irish and Irish breweries. Lots of local beers. Mostly IPAs or craft lagers.

The Beer in Review is a blog about British craft beer and real ale. Keep up with new posts and contact me comments and questions on twitter or facebook. I'd love to hear about your craft beer adventures and recommendations from your home town.
