Essex Craft Beer Review: American Pale Ale from Hope Brewing Company

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Essex craft beer review is for American Pale Ale from Hope Brewing Company.

This American Pale Ale was dark gold and very very bitter. An almost overwhelming bitterness the first day I had this. But I did have a bad cold that day and the cask was fairly fresh opened.

The next day I was feeling a bit better and the second time I tried this beer there were more pleasant woody flavours. Greent tea and astringent, cedar. It definitely improved. Or maybe better to say that I improved!

So now we are finally getting into April's beers. And I am already a week behind! But it looks like this month could be thin on the ground for new beers. Two weekends in and I have five reviews. I would usually have six to eight new beers over two weekends.
