Manchester Craft Beer Review: Chorlton Pale Ale from Bootleg Brewing Co.

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Manchester craft beer review is for Chorlton Pale Ale from Bootleg Brewing Co.

Chorlton Pale Ale was a gold bitter. Fruity and rather generic. Apples, kind of malty, and lots of bready aroma.

Bootleg is a Manchester based micro brewery that makes beer from the Horse and Jockey pub in Chorlton. I am glad, that on our first evening in Manchester, I got to try a Manchester beer.

This was while we were at dinner at a very famous Manchester establishment: Sam's Chop House. Frequented by Olde Tyme artists and writers, it now boasts a modern British gastro pub-ish menu. The devilled duck hearts are to die for.

The Beer in Review is a blog about British craft beer and real ale. Keep up with new posts and contact me comments and questions on twitter or facebook. I'd love to hear about your craft beer adventures and recommendations from your home town.
