Shropshire Carft Beer Review: Pax Ale from Corvedale Brewery

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Shropshire craft beer review is for Pax Ale from Corvedale Brewery.

Pax Ale was light amber bitter. Quite bitter but with a floral sweetness that is hard to describe. Vanilla I think and nutmeg. Really interesting and I really liked it because it presented some flavours and flavour combinations I have not encountered before. If I could sum up a comparison to something you could understand it would have to be apple pie! And there aint nothing wrong with anything that tastes like applie pie. Even beer!

Corvedale is as micro brew as you can get. It is basically a pub on the border of Wales and England that makes beer in a shed out the back. Which makes it a bit surprising that I see them even once per year at our favourite local. Pax was totally new to me but is one of their regular brews apparently.

The Beer in Review is a blog about British craft beer and real ale. Keep up with new posts and contact me comments and questions on twitter or facebook. I'd love to hear about your craft beer adventures and recommendations from your home town.
