Canadian Craft Beer Review: Big Wheel from Amsterdam Brewing Company

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Canadian craft beer review is for Big Wheel from Amsterdam Brewing Company.

Big Wheel was more of a gold colour than amber. Sweet pilsner lagerish beer. Light citrus and cloves hops. Gold malts and crisp.

Technically not a pump clip. I had this beer as part of a sampler flight at the Amsterdam Brewing Company in Toronto and they came on like this mat thing. Spoiler alert: there are three more of these coming up this week.

It is a brilliant location with a patio right next to the lake. Most of the year this is pointless in Ontario but the week I was there was absolutely perfect for sitting out on a waterfront patio.

And they brew their beers right on premises kind of like the Oakham Ales brewery tap in Peterborough.

The Beer in Review is a blog about British craft beer and real ale. Keep up with new posts and contact me comments and questions on twitter or facebook. I'd love to hear about your craft beer adventures and recommendations from your home town.
