Canadian Craft Beer Review: Downtown Brown from Amsterdam Brewing Company

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Canadian craft beer review is for Downtown Brown from Amsterdam Brewing Company.

Downtown Brown was indeed a brown beer but it felt a bit weird having a brown cold fizzy tap beer. Brown beers are meant to be warm and flat! It was nutty and chocolatety. Like a bitter milk chocolate. Rich and a bit astringent with walnut, pecan, and almond. Very clean finish.

This was the second of four beers in a sampler flight I had at the Amsterdam Brewery Tap in Toronto. The mat there features the iconic Toronto trolly which you will see, if you visit that city, running up and down Spadina. Ding ding.
