Essex Craft Beer Review: George and the Dragon from Brentwood Brewing Co.

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Essex craft beer review is for George and the Dragon from Brentwood Brewing Co.

George and the Dragon was clear amber bitter. Very interesting. Very savoury and herbal. Neutral bitter. It took me ages to put my finger on the dominant flavour and from the depths of my Canadian childhood I dredged up the intant-coffee-alternative Postum.

Does anyone else remember Postum? It was made out of toasted wheatgerm. The other thing it reminded me off was Camp. Another instant coffee alternative which was made from chicory. Toasty malts and chicory with a wee bit of aniseed and asafoetida.
