Somerset Craft Beer Review: Memphis Belle from Cottage Brewing

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Somerset craft beer review is for Memphis Belle from Cottage Brewing.

Share It!

Memphis Belle was a gold bitter. Hoppy citrus, celery, cilantro, vanilla tang or even banana (?) at the end. Just that little bit of sweetness left in the mouth that was aromatic and fruity.

I think this is the THIRD aircraft of WWII beer I have had from Cottage. Liking the new style. Because it is meant to depict an era and is how the pilots decked out their kites at that time, I am going to give the pin up girls a pass this time. Otherwise: side-eye.

"But even-star," you say "this is not Spanish beer! Like you promise yesterday!"

You are quite correct. I am going to be doing the Spanish Canary Island beers next week which will give me time to do a video review. So tune in next week for four days of Spanish beer and a review video on the youtubes!

The Beer in Review is a blog about British craft beer and real ale. Keep up with new posts and contact me with comments and questions on twitter or facebook. I'd love to hear about your craft beer adventures and recommendations from your home town.
