Essex Craft Beer Review: SX Porter from Hope Brewing Company

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Essex craft beer review is for SX Porter from Hope Brewing Company.

SX Porter was dark brown. Very interesting. Quite light tasting, malty and something like gingerbread so molasses and that kind of sweetness, but also something fresher up front and hoppy. A porter for them as aren't that in to porters.

Which is me. Or I thought it was. I am starting to think that maybe there is a different way to porter and Hope is one of the breweries showing us it can be a beer style for everyone. Not just for a niche die hard old fashioned crowd who eat fisherman's friends and bovril for fun. Weirdies.
