London Craft Beer Review: Westway Pale Ale from Portobello Brewing Co.

Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's London craft beer review is for Westway Pale Ale from Portobello Brewing Co.

Westway was very clear amber. Fruity and fruit punchy. Sweet rather than resinous and citrus. But also something quite savoury like parsnip. A little bit of apple and pear.

I've had a few Portobello beers now and they seem to sit firmly in the Meh category. Definitely decent but if given a choice between a Portobello I haven't had or say a Cottage or Tring I haven't had, I would not go for the Portobello. Anything else would be more exciting.
