Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Cornwall craft beer review is for Cornish Trawler from Skinner's Brewery.

Cornish Trawler is a gold beer with very pleasant light citrus flavours. Good bitter bite and a interesting profile of undertones that border on the tropical. Aromatics including thyme, lemon verbena, papaya and a whiff of vanilla sugar.

And a session beer to boot! Not had a Skinner's beer before and it is nice to see another Cornish craft beer maker that isn't Sharp's or St. Austell. Not that those breweries make bad beer. They make very good beer in fact! But looking at my list from last year, Cornwall did not feature much outside of those two. I am pleased that my first Cornwall beer of the year comes from a brewery that's new to me and maybe to you too!
