Cornwall Craft Beer Review: Doombar from Sharp's

Cornwall Craft Beer Review: Doombar from Sharp's craft beer real ale
Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Cornwall craft beer review is for Doombar from Sharp's.

Doombar is an amber ale. Medium sweet with a hoppy bitterness up front. Generic green hops that isn't particularly citrus or anything else. Must say I found a pint of it hard going. Just because it's boring. Bland beer. Gross.

I don't remember being quite so offended by Doombar  in the past. It would never be my first choice but certainly it is better than nothing if the only alternative is Stella. But truly I would have to say that I would rather have a glass of  WINE than try to make it through another pint of this ever.

So much for Tryanuary. Even our regular London pubs have let us down a bit. They are still turning over the same beers I was drinking at Christmas and the new ones coming on are things like this or beers I had late last year. Feels like the pub/brewing industry haven't quite synced up on this initiative by making and buying new beers put out especially for January.

The Beer in Review is a blog about craft beer and real ale. Keep up with new posts and contact me with comments and questions on twitter or YouTube. I'd love to hear about your craft beer adventures and recommendations from your home town.
