Somerset Craft Beer Review: Red Nose Reinbeer from Cotleigh

Red Nose Reinbeer from Cotleigh craft beer real ale review pump clip
Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Somerset craft beer review is for Red Nose Reinbeer from Cotleigh.

Red Nose Reindeer is a red beer. Malty and fruity with coffee and dark chocolate bitterness. A tart fruitiness like physalis or persimmon with plum and cherry.

This was a very popular beer at our local with the barrel being finished off in less than 4 days. That is a very quick turnover for them. The average is maybe 7 days. If it is on more than 12 days they simply won't sell the whole barrel. Because that means the beer is shyte and no one will drink it. Generally, even if the beer is not to everyone's taste, a good beer will get drunk in a week. More than that and it's nothing to do with taste.

This is my first repeat brewery and county of the year. If you follow me on twitter @even_star you will know that one of the goals for the blog this year is to have at least one craft beer from each county in the UK. That is actually very ambitious for me because, in spite of the fact that this is a beer blog, I don't drink that much!

And I would also like all of those beers to be on tap. Not bottled. And that is definitely a challenge because so many breweries don't distribute nationwide. They do just fine locally! So there might be some travelling this year.
