Essex Craft Beer Review: Gold Rush from Elephant School Brewing Co. real ale pump clip
Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Essex craft beer review is for Gold Rush from Elephant School Brewing Co.

Gold Rush is a light gold beer. A little bit cloudy. Right up front there is a sweet fruity dankness. A touch of the farm yard as I usually describe it. Some brewers go too heavy on that and it can be unpleasant. It was right on the edge here for me. None of the citrus you would expect in an IPA. Some green bitterness in there like cress or coriander. Maybe some dill. I found it hard going.

A bit of a disappointment from Brentwood's experimental brand. I can't remember the last ESBC beer I had that I did not like and I have had their chia saison! Which I quite liked last year.

Well, you can't win them all when you are being experimental.
