Derbyshire Craft Beer Review: Coffin Lane Stout from Ashover Brewery

Derbyshire Craft Beer Review: Coffin Lane Stout from Ashover Brewery real ale pump clip
Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Derbyshire craft beer review is for Coffin Lane Stout from Ashover Brewery.

Coffin Lane is a dark black Red Stout. Up front very bitter earthy and astringent. Quite drying with none of the richness you might get from an oatmeal stout. In the middle some bitter fruits like cranberry or ash. At the back it mellows into a richer coffee flavour. Much preferred the Ilkley Stout from last week.
