London Craft Beer Review: Big Bang from Craft Academy

London Craft Beer Review: Big Bang from Craft Academy bottle
Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's London craft beer review is for Big Bang from Craft Academy.

Big Bang IPA is a honey coloured ipa. Aromas of apple and elderflower. Full bodied and bitter up front but quickly mellows into a sweeter caramelised flavour. Lots of lime and something very aromatically floral like jasmine or orange blossom.

I will be doing a video review of Craft Academy beer in May. Craft Academy is a brewing apprenticeship program that is sponsored by Greene King. One of the apprentices sent me beer to review!

Oddly I had this one at a Greene King pub up the road and I would have to say that Greene King definitely needs to bring in new blood. Not just to up their game on beer but also on beer selection at their pubs. This was refreshing!

This was going to be an episode of Cask Ale Quicky Craft Beer Review on my YouTube channel but I have decided to rethink the format. There have been too many beers for me to realistically keep up with video reviews for them all. In the meantime check out my latest live beer review!

The Beer in Review is a blog about craft beer and real ale. Keep up with new posts and contact me with comments and questions on twitter or YouTube. I'd love to hear about your craft beer adventures and recommendations from your home town.
