Nottinghamshire Craft Beer Review: Aegir from Milestone Brewing

Nottinghamshire Craft Beer Review: Aegir from Milestone Brewing real ale pump clip
Welcome to the Shed. I am even-star and this is The Beer in Review. Today's Nottinghamshire craft beer review is for Aegir from Milestone Brewing.

Share It!

Aegir from Milestone is a dark amber beer. Quite sweet and fruity up front. Malty fennel and apple. Some fresh cantaloupe in there as well. In the middle a bitter metallic tangyness but over all that sweetness prevails.  But too much for me for it to be quaffable or refreshing. A dessert beer.

So in case you were wondering, Aegir is like a Norse demi-god type character. His domain was the sea and he had a reputation for hosting elaborate parties at which, I am sure, much beer was consumed. He is kind of like a Scandinavian Bacchus.
